Currently, about 140 citizens of Armenia are at the Upper Lars checkpoint. Vardan Asoyan, the Consul General in Rostov-on-Don, arrived at the checkpoint and is coordinating works of the Consulate General to provide the citizens of Armenia with food and essential goods on the ground.

We inform that some of the citizens followed the advice of the Consul General and have already preferred the option of returning to Armenia by air.

Negotiations towards finding options for possible solutions are being held with our Georgian counterparts. 

We urge the citizens of Armenia to realistically assess the current situation, trust only official sources of information and the information provided by diplomatic representations of Armenia.
