General information

Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Bulgaria were established on 18 January 1992.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Republic of Armenia Kalin Anastasov presented his credentials to the president of Armenia Armen Sarkissian on April 28, 2021.

On October 24, 2024, Tsovinar HAMBARDZUMYAN was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Republic of Bulgaria (residence in Sofia) by Decree No. NH-316-A of the President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan,.

The Armenian-Bulgarian Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation was established in 2008.

The last 8th session of the Armenian-Bulgarian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic, Industrial and Technological Cooperation took place on 13 March 2019, in Yerevan.
