Brazil
General information
The diplomatic relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Federative Republic of Brazil were established on February 17, 1992.
The Embassy of the Federative Republic of Brazil in Yerevan was established in August of 2006.
The Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in the Federative Republic of Brazil was established in 2010.
On December 28, 2010 Hilda Burmaian was appointed Honorary Consul of Armenia in Sao Paulo city.
On September 1, 2022, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federative Republic of Brazil to the Republic of Armenia Fabio Vaz Pitaluga presented his credentials to the President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan.
On May 24, 2023, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Federative Republic of Brazil Armen Yeganyan, presented his credentials to the President of the Federative Republic of Brazil Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.
The Federal Senate of Brazil recognized the Armenian Genocide in 2015.
