General information

Armenian-Czech intergovernmental cooperation dates back to 1992, when the diplomatic relations between Armenia and Czechoslovakia were established. Later, after the dissolution of Czechoslovakia in 1993, Armenia established diplomatic relations with the Czech Republic.

The Armenian-Czech Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation was established in 2014. The first meeting was in 2014 in Yerevan and the recent one in 2023 in Prague.

On 21 February 2019 Ashot Hovakimian, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Czech Republic handed over his credentials to President of the Czech Republic Miloš Zeman.

On January 24, 2023 Petr Piruncik, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic, presented his credentials to the President of the Republic of Armenia, Vahagn Khachaturyan.
