Bilateral Relations
Egypt
General Information
The Republic of Armenia and the Arab Republic of Egypt established diplomatic relations on March 9, 1992.
Armenia opened an embassy in Cairo in September 1992, and the Egyptian embassy has been operating in Yerevan since April 1993.
On October 24, 2024 Armen Sargsyan was appointed as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Arab Republic of Egypt.
On December 6, 2022, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Armenia, Serenade Soliman Gamil presented her credentials to the President of the Republic of Armenia.

Legal Framework
Around 23 agreements, 20 memoranda of understanding, and 12 protocols on cooperation in diplomatic, political, trade-economic, educational, cultural, and other spheres have been signed between the governments, ministries, and other governmental bodies of the Republic of Armenia and the Arab Republic of Egypt.
Intergovernmental Committee
The Armenian-Egyptian Intergovernmental Joint Committee for Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation has been operating since 1996. Up to date, five sessions of the Committee have been held:
