General information

Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Armenia and the United Kingdom were established on 20 January 1992.

November 2023 – Launch of the Armenia-United Kingdom strategic dialogue.

On July 16, 2021 Varuzhan Nersesyan was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. On March 8, 2022 Varuzhan Nersesyan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the United Kingdom presented his credentials to Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

On December 15, 2020 Mr. John Patrick Gallagher has been appointed Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Republic of Armenia. On April 1, 2021, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the Republic of Armenia John Gallagher presented his credentials to the President of the Republic of Armenia Armen Sarkissian
