General information

Diplomatic relations between Armenia and Lebanon were established on 4 March, 1992.

The Embassy of Armenia to Lebanon was opened in June 1994. The Embassy of Lebanon was opened in Yerevan in September 1997.

In January 2018 Maya Dagher, Ambassador of Lebanon to Armenia, presented her credentials to the President of Armenia.

In November 2018 Vahagn Atabekyan was appointed Ambassador of Armenia to Lebanon.

Legal framework

Around 30 agreements, 14 memoranda of understanding and protocols on cooperation in diplomatic, political, trade-economic, educational, cultural, and other spheres have been signed between the governments, ministries, and other governmental bodies of the Republic of Armenia and the Lebanese Republic.
