General information
Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Armenia and the United Mexican States were established on January 14, 1992.
Since 1993 the Embassy of Mexico in Russia has been jointly accredited to Armenia.
Since 2014 was established the Embassy of Armenia in Mexico City.
On March 28, 2018, Hakob Sahakian was appointed Honorary Consul of Armenia in the Michoacan State of Mexico.
On August 29, 2018, Nikolay Konstandyan was appointed Honorary Consul of Mexico in Armenia.
On March 1, 2023, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Mexican States to the Republic of Armenia Eduardo Villegas Megías (residence in Moscow), presented his credentials to the President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan.
The Senate of Mexico recognized the Armenian Genocide on January 8, 2023.
