Syrian Arab Republic
General Information
Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Syrian Arab Republic were established in 1992.
The Embassy of Armenia in Damascus was established in November 1992.
The Consulate General of the RA in Aleppo was established in 1993.
The Embassy of Syria in Yerevan was established in 1997.
On 31 October, 2024, Ruben Kharazyan was appointed as Ambassador of Armenia to Syria.
On June 14, 2022, Ambassador of SAR to Armenia Nora Arissian presented her credentials to the President of Armenia.

Legal framework
Around 35 agreements, 15 memoranda of understanding, and 29 protocols on cooperation in diplomatic, political, trade-economic, educational, cultural, and other spheres have been signed between the governments, ministries, and other governmental bodies of the Republic of Armenia and the Syrian Arab Republic.
Joint Intergovernmental Commissions
The Armenian-Syrian Intergovernmental Commission was created in 1998. Five sessions have been held: in 1998, 2004, 2009 in Yerevan and in 2001, 2007 in Damascus.
