Question: How would you comment the escalation of the situation on Armenia - Azerbaijan border and the contact line between Azerbaijan and Nagorno-Karabakh?

Tigran Balayan: Gross violations of cease-fire by Baku along the border with Armenia and the line of contact with Nagorno-Karabakh, including through the use of heavy weaponry once again proves that Azerbaijan is continuously trying to undermine the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict resolution process, the efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs aimed at the settlement of the issue and the upcoming meetings initiated by them.

Baku tries to divert the rising criticism of the international community on the outrageous situation of gross human rights violations in Azerbaijan through this kind of provocative actions.

This adventurous behaviour of Azerbaijan which results in human losses and injury of people, infliction of considerable material damages, should be strongly condemned.
