Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian sent a letter of condolence to the German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier on the death of Guido Westerwelle, the former German Foreign Minister.

“It is with profound sadness that I learned about the untimely death of Guido Westerwelle, who significantly contributed to the development of Armenian-German relations in his capacity as German Federal Foreign Minister. I keep warm memories of our meetings and frank discussions with him.

I would like to express my deepest sympathies to Mr Westerwelle’s bereaved family and all those who mourn his loss,” reads the letter of condolences of Edward Nalbandian.
