Statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia
30 September, 2016We are deeply concerned over the recent escalation of military situation in Syria.
The deplorable use of weaponry against the civilian population of Aleppo, including of the Armenian district, that resulted in numerous human losses is a matter of particular concern.
We express our deep condolences and support to the families and relatives of the killed and wounded.
We hope that all the parties involved in the negotiation process over the settlement of the Syrian conflict will be more determined in the joint fight against terrorism and resolved to restore peace through negotiations.
Upon instruction of Serzh Sargsyan, the President of the Republic of Armenia, two planes with humanitarian aid will be sent to Syria in coming days to support the population affected from the Syrian conflict.
