Question: Mr. Kocharyan how would you comment on the recent statement of the President of Turkey regarding the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict?

Shavarsh Kocharyan: For years, the leadership of Turkey, through its provocative statements, has been toughening already destructive policy of Azerbaijan in the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, with an aim to prevent possible progress in the negotiation process.

It's obvious that Turkey doesn't need the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conlfict, as the establishment of stable peace in the region will significantly decrease the degree of Baku's dependence on Ankara.
