We are following the armed clashes taking place in Kazakhstan with concern. The information about the infiltration of terrorist groups is alarming. We strongly condemn the violence and are convinced that it cannot be a path of solving political issues. 

We believe that it is necessary to undertake steps towards preventing further clashes and restoring the atmosphere of tolerance necessary for peaceful political processes in the country, including the realization of the citizens' right to hold peaceful demonstrations and right of expressing themselves.
