On December 4, on the Armenia-Azerbaijan state border in the direction of the Vayots dzor region of the Republic of Armenia, а servicemаn of the armed forces of Armenia Gerasim Avetik Arakelyan was fatally shot by a sniper of the armed forces of Azerbaijan.

By such provocations on the border, as well as by continuously rejecting the offers of various international actors to continue the negotiations, the Azerbaijani side is trying to delay and deadlock the peace process.

We strongly condemn these actions of the Azerbaijani side aimed at provoking a new escalation, delaying and leading the peace process into a deadlock.
