On January 20, 2008, the official Armenian delegation headed by Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian participated in Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili’s inauguration ceremony.

Minister Oskanian congratulated President Saakashvili and conveyed the greetings of Armenia’s President.
In Tbilisi, Armenia’s Foreign Minister met with Marc Perrin de Brichambaut, OSCE Secretary General and Robert Simmons, NATO Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia.
Minister Oskanian and Mr. de Brichambaut spoke about the forthcoming presidential elections in Armenia and in particular the OSCE observation mission. They also discussed the results of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs last visit to Armenia.           

Minister Oskanian and Mr. Simmons spoke about Armenia-NATO cooperation and IPAP.
