Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian received Tina Kaidanow, US Deputy Secretary Assistant for the European and Eurasian Affairs
20 October, 2009On October 20, Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian received Tina Kaidanow, US Deputy Secretary Assistant for the European and Eurasian Affairs.
Welcoming the quest Minister Nalbandian congratulated her on nomination and expressed hope that Kaidanow’s experience and skills gained during her diplomatic service will be useful for the development of bilateral relationship.
In the course of the meeting the two discussed the perspectives of the development of bilateral relations. Minister Nalbandian said that Armenia attaches importance to the deepening of comprehensive relationship and the strengthening of friendly partnership and cooperation with the United States.
The two exchanged views on the process of normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations. Within that context Edward Nalbandian thanked for the US support toward the establishment of relations between Armenia and Turkey and the steps undertaken in that direction.
The sides touched upon the recent developments in the negotiations for the settlement of Artsakh (Nagorno Karabakh) issue.
