Question: Mr. Minister, the Ministry of Defense of Armenia released a statement on the attempt of subversive attack of the Azerbaijani side in the direction of Martakert last night. What is your assessment of that diversion?

Answer: Before every top level meeting Baku tries to fail the negotiations through provocative statements, threats of war. Most probably noticing that they did not succeed in that, this time immediately after the trilateral high-level meeting on June 17, the Azerbaijanis moved even further - to an obvious provocation. One could say that hardly had they left the negotiations room that the leadership of Azerbaijan organized a subversive act in the region of Martakert of Nagorno Karabakh on the night of 18th to 19th of June. It is typical of Azerbaijan to perfidiously attack under cover of the night.

As a result of this subversive assault there are killed and wounded people. The Armed Forces of Artsakh pulled that assault back. It is obvious that this action was pre-planned and beforehand masterminded. It yet again shows the true face of Baku, which spares no effort to fail the negotiation process.
