The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Edward Nalbandian had a phone conversation with Štefan Füle, the EU Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighbourhood Policy.
In the course of the conversation, Commissioner Füle congratulated Minister Nalbandian on the launch of negotiations with the European Union on the Association Agreement and mentioned that the cooperation between Armenia and the European Union has registered a significant progress in some areas, which has created solid prerequisites for the further expansion of relations.
Edward Nalbandian mentioned that Armenia attaches importance to the establishment of legal relations of a qualitatively new level with the European Union and is committed to undertake efficient steps in that direction.
The Armenian Foreign Minister and the European Commissioner discussed issues concerning negotiations on the Association Agreement and visa facilitation regime.
They exchanged views on the preparatory works of negotiations on the establishment of free and comprehensive trade zone.
