On August 20, a meeting was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Edward Nalbandian and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Hamrokhon Zarifi.

During the meeting Edward Nalbandian and Hamrokhon Zarifi mentioned with satisfaction that the level of the relations developed between the two countries was granting great opportunities for deepening and widening the efficient cooperation between Armenia and Tajikistan in various spheres. The sides reaffirmed their bilateral readiness to undertake steps towards this direction.

The ministers gave importance to the deepening of the cooperation of Armenia and Tajikistan in the framework of the international organizations.

The ministers underlined the necessity of the implementation of the economic potential between the two countries and the deepening of the relations between the business circles. The sides agreed that it is necessary to undertake steps for widening and refreshing of the legal framework between Republic of Armenia and Tajikistan.

Edward Nalbandian and Hamrokhon Zarifi touched upon the regional developments of the Central Asia and Southern Caucasus.
