In the course of the meeting, the Ministers discussed issues of bilateral agenda: political, economic, decentralized and cultural cooperation, as well as joint projects that are being implemented and are planned, especially in the areas of energy and transport.

Both sides touched upon the implementation of the agreements reached during the official visit of the President of Armenia to Tehran in April 2009.

Foreign Affairs Minister Nalbandian underlined the cooperation between the Parliaments of the two countries which is an important part of the intergovernmental relations between Armenia and Iran. Edward Nalbandian added that it should be implemented on both levels, the Presidential and the Armenian-Iranian Parliamentary Friendship Group.
