The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia met with the Foreign Ministers of Cyprus and Greece Markos Kyprianou and Dimitris Droutsas

On January 17, the Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian who was in the delegation accompanying the President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, arriving in Nicosia on an official visit, met with his Cypriot counterpart Markos Kyprianou. 

In the course of the meeting the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Cyprus had a thorough talk on a wide range of issues relating to the further development of the Armenian-Cypriot relations, particularly the steps undertaken towards the intensification of interaction in the international organizations, holding of consultations between the foreign ministries, economic cooperation and cultural exchanges.
 
Minister Nalbandian mentioned that the state visit of the President of the Republic of Cyprus to Armenia in 2009, as well as the state visit of the President of the Republic of  Armenia to Cyprus, and the agreements reached between the two Presidents, have opened a new page in bilateral relations. Edward Nalbandian also added that it is a proof of the readiness of further deepening and strengthening of comprehensive cooperation between Armenia and Cyprus.
 
Edward Nalbandian and Markos Kyprianou touched upon the relations between Armenia and the European Union, as well as the possibilities of bilateral cooperation in the frames of the European Neighborhood Policy and Eastern Partnership Program.
 
The Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Cyprus also exchanged views on the Cypriot and Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) issues.

 
On January 19, the Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian had a meeting with his Greek counterpart Dimitris Droutsas.
 
The Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Greece mentioned with satisfaction that the state visit of the President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan to Greece would add a new impetus to the relations of the two friendly countries and nations, as well as the interaction in various spheres.

            Edward Nalbandian and Dimitris Droutsas touched upon the issues related to the cooperation between Armenia and the European Union, the projects implemented in that format, the negotiations over the signing of the Associated Agreement and facilitation of visa regime.
 
The Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Greece stressed the importance of the holding of regular consultations between the two Ministries and rapprochement of cooperation in the international organizations.
 
In the course of the meeting, bilateral, regional and international issues were discussed in detail.
 
Edward Nalbandian invited his Cypriot and Greek counterparts to visit Armenia.
