On February 14, the Armenian Foreign Affairs Minister Edward Nalbandian received the Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia, State Secretary Grigory Karasin who is in Yerevan to participate in interdepartmental consultations.

In the course of the meeting a wide range of issued relating to the further development of strategic partnership and allied relations between Armenia and Russia was discussed. 

The sides mentioned with satisfaction that the regular and active political consultations between the Presidents of the two countries serve as a solid basis for the further deepening of relations of mutual interests. They also discussed the process of implementation of the agreements reached on the high level. 

During the meeting they exchanged views on a number of regional issues, particularly the settlement of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) issue.
