The Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian received the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs
16 March, 2011On March 16, the Armenian Foreign Affairs Minister Edward Nalbandian received the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs Bernard Fassier (France), Robert Bradtke (USA), Igor Popov (Russia) and Andrzej Kasprzyk, the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office who arrived in Yerevan within the frameworks of a regional visit.
During the meeting, the results of the trilateral meeting held in Sochi on March 5 were discussed. In this context, Minister Nalbandian expressed hope that on the basis of the agreement reached between the Presidents, it will be possible to register a progress in the negotiations.
The Armenian Foreign Minister drew the attention of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs to the continuous provocations masterminded by the Azeri side on the line of contact and violation of ceasefire, noting that they do not contribute to the creation of a positive atmosphere in the negotiations. Edward Nalbandian also added that if Azerbaijan agreed with the calls of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs and international community voiced last two years on withdrawal of snipers from the line of contact and consolidation of cease-fire, it would contribute to the progress in the peace process.
In the course of meeting, the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs presented to the Armenian Foreign Minister the results of the meeting held in Baku.
