On April 25, the Armenian Foreign Affairs Minister Edward Nalbandian received the Chairwoman of the Sweden-Armenia friendship group at the Riksdag (Parliament of Sweden) Annelie Enochson, as well as group member Carl Fredrik Malm.

Welcoming the guests, Edward Nalbandian underlined the activities of the Swedish MPs in strengthening and deepening of the Armenian- Swedish relations, stressing the importance of parliamentary format for development of inter-governmental interaction.
Minister Nalbandian also highly praised the Group`s contribution to the adoption of a resolution on the recognition of the Armenian Genocide by the Swedish parliament last year.

The Swedish MPs thanked Minister Nalbandian for a warm reception and assured that they will continue to have their contribution to the further strengthening and deepening of friendly bilateral relations between Armenia and Sweden.

Upon the request of the guests, Edward Nalbandian presented the main directions of Armenia`s foreign policy, cooperation with the European Union and Armenia`s position on regional issues.
