The Armenian Foreign Affairs Minister continues his visit to the United States Edward Nalbandian delivered a speech at the Brookings Institution

On May 19, the Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian visited the USA Congress where he had a meeting with Rep. Frank Pallone, the Co-Chairman of the U.S. Congressional Caucus on Armenian Issues.

Expressing gratitude to the Congressman for his long-time activities in support of Armenia, the Armenian Foreign Minister stressed the importance of the great contributions of the Congressional Caucus on Armenian Issues and role of its Co-chairs in the strengthening and development of the Armenian-American relations.
The Congressman presented the works of the Caucus on Armenian Issues and noted that he is a friend of the Armenian people and will continue his activities in favor of reinforcement of the Armenian-American relations.

Upon the request of Rep. Frank Pallone, Minister Nalbandian presented the recent developments in the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue.

On the same day, Edward Nalbandian also met with Philip Gordon, the US Assistant Secretary of State for Europe and Eurasia. A broad range of bilateral, regional and international issues were discussed.

Edward Nalbandian met with Robert Bradtke, the U.S. Minsk Group Co-chair in Washington, as well. The sides discussed issues related to the upcoming regional visit of the Minsk Group Co-chairs.

On May 19, the Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian delivered an expanded speech on Armenia’s foreign policy at the Brookings Institution where he was welcomed by its President Strobe Talbott, the former U.S. Deputy Secretary of State.

High-ranking officials of the Department of State, political scientists, analysts and Ambassadors accredited to Washington DC attended the meeting, as well.
In his speech Minister Nalbandian presented the Armenia-American relations, touched upon in detail the recent developments in the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue and Armenia’s approaches on regional and international issues, as well as answered numerous questions of the attendees.

Before leaving Washington, Minister Nalbandian had separate meetings with the representatives of the Armenian National Committee of America and Armenian Assembly of America. In the course of meetings, issues related to Armenia’s foreign policy, as well as their activities were discussed.
