The 24th meeting of the Council of the Foreign Ministers of the BSEC member states took place in Bucharest

On June 8, the 24th meeting of the Council of the Foreign Ministers of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization (BSEC) member states took place in Bucharest which was preceded by a two-day session of the BSEC’s Committee of senior officials.

The BSEC observer countries, delegations of the partners for sectoral cooperation and adjacent organizations, representatives of a number of international organizations also attended the meeting with the status of the guests.

The Armenian delegation was led by the RA Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Manassarian who delivered a speech in the meeting.

In his speech, the Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister stressed with satisfaction the progress registered in all spheres of the social-economic cooperation during Romania's 6-month BSEC chairmanship, as well as the practical role of Armenia in it. The significance of promotion of the economic agenda directed at further improvement of the Organization’s effectiveness and appropriate implementation of regional specific projects was emphasized as well.

As a result of the meeting, a dozen of decisions were made. Romania presented the achievements recorded during its chairmanship.

At the end of the meeting, Romania’s Chairmanship in Office (CiO) mandate was ceremonially handed over to the Russian Federation, which will be the CiO until the end of this year.
