The Armenian Foreign Minister received Henri de Raincourt, the State Minister for Cooperation of France

On June 16, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Edward Nalbandian received Henri de Raincourt, the State Minister for Cooperation of France.

Welcoming the guest, Minister Nalbandian mentioned that Armenia attaches particular importance to the comprehensive development of multifaceted cooperation and friendly relations with France.

Ministers Nalbandian and de Raincourt stressed with satisfaction the established high-level political dialogue. The sides had a thorough talk on the agenda of bilateral relations, preparatory works of scheduled high-ranking visits, issues related to the inter-parliamentary, decentralized, economic and educational cooperation.

The sides discussed cooperation issues in the frames of the International Organization of Francophone. In that context, the organization of General Conference of the International Association of Francophone Mayors, to be held in Yerevan in the autumn of this year was highlighted.

In the course of the talks, the relations between Armenia and the EU, the positive process of the negotiations being conducted over the Association Agreement and the preparations for the launching of the negotiations over visa regime facilitation were discussed in detail.

Edward Nalbandian and Henri de Raincourt exchanged views on the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue. In that context, Minister Nalbandian stressed the positive involvement of France in the negotiations as an OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair.
