The Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Arman Kirakossian met with Kori Udovički, the UN Assistant Secretary-General, UNDP Assistant Administrator and UNDP Regional Director for Europe and CIS

On July 14, the Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Arman Kirakossian met with Ms. Kori Udovički, the UN Assistant Secretary-General, UNDP Assistant Administrator and UNDP Regional Director for Europe and CIS.

Welcoming the guest, Mr. Kirakossian mentioned that Armenia effectively cooperates with the agencies of the UN, and the existence of the representatives of the UN various agencies in Yerevan greatly contributes to it. The MFA cooperation with the UN permanent coordinator is of a daily basis and is related to a wide range of issues.

Ms. Udovički expressed satisfaction with the level of cooperation existing between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the UN Development Program. On her part, Ms. Udovički highly assessed the Armenian Government’s commitment and efforts to work in the frames of the program signed with the UNDP. She mentioned that despite of the restrictions resulting from the financial difficulties overcome by the donor countries, the UNDP’s activities in Armenia will not only decrease but will also continue in the directions outlined by all programs.

The meeting also was attended by the UN Resident Coordinator in the Republic of Armenia, Permanent Representative of the UNDP Dafina Gercheva.
