Edward Nalbandian met with the newly elected OSCE Secretary General

On July 15, Edward Nalbandian had a meeting with Lamberto Zannier, the newly elected OSCE Secretary General in Vienna.

Congratulating Mr. Lamberto Zannier on the occasion of being elected to the position of the OSCE Secretary General, Edward Nalbandian expressed hope that he would bring his important contribution to the implementation of the goals of the pan-European organization.

The sides discussed issues related to various spheres of the OSCE’s activities, exchanged views on the reforms of the Organization.

Minister Nalbandian mentioned that Armenia attaches importance to the role of the OSCE in maintaining security and cooperation in Europe and will continue its efficient participation in the activities of the Organization in all dimensions.

Upon the request of the OSCE Secretary General, the Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs presented the recent development in the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue, stressing the important role and efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group in the resolution of the conflict.

For the continuation of the started dialogue, Edward Nalbandian invited Lamberto Zannier to visit Armenia.
