The Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs had a telephone conversation with the RF Minister of Foreign Affairs

On July 18, the Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbandian had a telephone conversation with the RF Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov by the initiative of the Russian side. In the course of the talk, issues related to the current stage of the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue were discussed.

Edward Nalbandian and Sergey Lavrov discussed the possibilities to exert additional efforts for creating a favorable atmosphere in the negotiations.

The Ministers touched upon the implementation of the agreements reached between the Presidents of Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan Serzh Sargsyan, Dmitry Medvedev and Ilham Aliyev during the meetings held in October 2010 in Astrakhan and in March 2011 in Sochi on the consolidation of cease-fire regime and confidence-building in the military sphere, settling all the disputes by peaceful means and conducting of investigations on possible incidents on the line of contact.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia informed his Russian counterpart that the response of the RA President to the message of the RF President will be presented in the coming days.
