On August 24, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbandian received the crew of the “Armenia” sailboat led by writer and publicist Zori Balayan.

Welcoming the guests, Edward Nalbandian congratulated the members of the “Armenia” sailboat on the occasion of the completion of their important mission, adding that the sailing trajectory represented a unique map of the Armenian Diaspora, which delighted our compatriots who live in abroad.

“Your difficult mission was a great contribution to the strengthening of the Homeland-Diaspora ties and a sacred task to unite our compatriots around the world,” said Edward Nalbandian.

The members of expedition presented to the Minister of Foreign Affairs the round-the-world sailing and shared their impressions about the meetings held in different countries.

On behalf of the crew of the “Armenia” sailboat, Zori Balayan expressed gratitude for the full support provided by the RA diplomatic missions in various countries of the world.

In recognition of the successful completion of the sailing, Edward Nalbandian awarded the expedition vessel of the “Armenia” with the MFA Medal.
