Ambassador Yeganyan presented the copies of his credentials to David Johnston, the Governor General of Canada

On September 19, the RA Ambassador to Canada Armen Yeganyan presented the copies of his credentials to David Johnston, the Governor General of Canada.

Congratulating the Ambassador on the occasion of his appointment and wishing success in that responsible work, the Governor General expressed confidence that the Armenian Ambassador with his knowledge and diplomatic experience would contribute to further deepening and strengthening of the Armenian-Canadian relations.

«The authorities of Canada highly appreciate the growing allied and partnership relations with Armenia in various spheres. Our nations are proud of positive implementation of their cultural and trade interaction. We are expecting to continue our consistent steps undertaken towards the achievement of common goals in the international stage, particularly through the Francophone organization”, noted the Governor General.

During the tête-à-tête talk, followed the ceremony, the sides discussed the Armenia-Canadian relations in political, economic and cultural dimensions, as well as the perspectives of the development and expansion of existing friendly ties.

Ambassador Yeganyan expressed gratitude for the principled position of Canadian authorities towards the Armenian Genocide.
