The Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs continues meetings in New-York

On September 23, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbandian, who is in New-York as a member of the delegation led by the President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan continued his meetings.

Minister Nalbandian had a meeting with Philippe Lefort, the European Union Special Representative (EUSR) for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia.
The interlocutors touched upon the preparatory works of the Eastern Partnership Summit to be held in Warsaw at the end of September.

In the context of the discussions on regional conflicts, Mr. Edward Nalbandian welcomed the EU’s willingness for providing more support to the efforts exerted by the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs towards the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue.
The next meeting of the Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs was with William J. Burns, the Deputy Secretary of State of the United States.

In the course of the meeting a wide range of issues related to the development of the Armenian-American friendly partnership was discussed.

Minister Nalbandian and Deputy Secretary of State William Burns exchanged views on the regional issues in the South Caucasus, and touched upon the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue. In that context, Mr. Edward Nalbandian highly assessed the USA’s positive engagement and activities as an OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair.
