The Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs met with the Chairman of the Parliament of Lebanon

On October 5, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbandian had a meeting with Nabih Berri, the Chairman of the Parliament of Lebanon who is in Yerevan on an official visit.

Welcoming the guest, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Nalbandian highly assessed the established relations between the two friendly countries based on mutual respect and trust. The Minister of Foreign Affairs noted about the existence of the comprehensive legal framework between Armenia and Lebanon, as well, describing it as a guarantee of continusouly developing bilateral relations.

During the meeting the sides touched upon a number of political, trade and economic issues of mutual interest.

It was mutually stressed the importance of inter-parliamentary cooperation for the development of interstate relations.

Mr. Nabih Berri noted that Lebanese Armenian community has an important role in political, economic and cultural life of the country and is a unique linkage between the two states.

The interlocutors discussed the possibilities of the solution of the existing problems in the region and the South Caucasus.
