Today the Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbandian received the delegation of the Italian Senate- members of the Italian Senate Committee on the EU Policies Rosana Baldi and Cristano de Eccher and Albertina Soliani, the Chairman of the Armenia-Italy Parliamentarian Friendship Group.

Welcoming the guests, Minister Nalbandian mentioned that the Armenian-Italian friendly ties are traditional, and Armenia is interested in the development of interaction with Italy both in bilateral and multilateral spheres. Minister Nalbandian also stressed the importance of inter-parliamentary format for the development of inter-state cooperation within the framework of international organizations and emphasized the importance of parliamentary ties for the development of inter-state cooperation.

Expressing gratitude for the reception, the Italian MPs noted that they arrived in Armenia to boost the cooperation with the RA National Assembly, discuss the current situation of the relations between Armenia and the EU, get acquainted with the reforms being implemented in Armenia. The guests also assured that they would bring their contribution to the deepening of friendly relations between Armenia and Italy.

In the meeting the sides had a discussion on the further strengthening of the Armenian-Italian relations, the cooperation between Armenia and the European Union and regional issues.
