The Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs received the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus

On November 1, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbandian received Igor Petrishenko, the Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs who arrived in Armenia to take part in the political consultations held between the MFAs of the two countries. 

Welcoming Igor Petrishenko, Minister Nalbandian underlined with satisfaction that the traditionally warm Armenian-Belarusian relations have continuously been developing in all spheres of the cooperation. 

“It’s noteworthy that the document signed about two months ago has already been implemented and it is a proof of the genuine effectiveness of our cooperation,” said Edward Nalbandian.

Expressing gratitude for the reception, Igor Petrishenko conveyed to Minister Nalbandian the greetings and wishes of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Sergei Martynov. 

In the course of the meeting, the sides mutually stressed that the high-level political dialogue, reciprocal visits, economic interaction, parliamentary ties, decentralized cooperation and cultural exchanges give an opportunity for the further deepening of the friendship between the two nations.

Stressing the existence of an expanded legal framework, the sides simultaneously noted about the necessity of its further expansion.

Edward Nalbandian and Igor Petrishenko touched upon the steps being undertaken towards the further intensification of bilateral trade and economic interaction.
