The newly appointed Ambassadors of the UK presented the copies of credentials to the Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs

On January 10, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbandian received the newly appointed Ambassadors of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Armenia Jonathan James Aves and Catherine Jane Leach on the occasion of presenting of the copies of their credentials.

Welcoming the guests, Minister Nalbandian wished the Ambassadors success in fulfilling their mission and mentioned that the Ambassadors would have their important contribution to the development of bilateral relations and the expansion of cooperation.

Expressing gratitude for the wishes, Ambassadors Aves and Leach noted that they would do their utmost to promote the strengthening and deepening of the Armenian-British relations during their term of office.

In the course of the meeting Minister Nalbandian expressed hope that the relations between the Republic of Armenia and the United Kingdom would be continually developed which would find its reflection in the intensification of bilateral political dialogue and the expansion of legal framework, economic and cultural ties.

The Armenian Foreign Minister and the Ambassadors of Great Britain touched upon the Armenia-EU cooperation in the frames of the Eastern Partnership, as well.

Edward Nalbandian and Jonathan James Aves and Catherine Jane Leach discussed international and regional issues of mutual interest.
