The Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs received the Special Representative of OSCE Chairman-in-Office for South Caucasus

On May 31 Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian received Patrick Murphy, the Special Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office for the South Caucasus.

Minister Nalbandian and Ambassador Murphy had a thorough talk on the ways of the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue. In that regard, the Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs drew the attention to the Azerbaijani steps undermining regional security and stability, such as the Azerbaijani bellicose rhetoric, armaments race, and regular provocations in the line of contact.

Patrick Murphy, in his part, mentioned that the Irish chairmanship of the OSCE supports the efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs undertaken towards the peaceful settlement of the Karabakh issue, as well as the initiatives aimed at the reduction of tension in the line of contact and confidence-building.

The interlocutors touched upon the agenda issues of the upcoming visit of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office to South Caucasus, as well.
