Edward Nalbandian received U.S. Senator Dick Durbin

Today the acting Minister of Foreign Affairs received Dick Durbin, the member of the United States Senate Committee on Foreign Relations who arrived in Yerevan.

Welcoming the guest, the acting Minister of Foreign Affairs highly commended the Armenian-American comprehensive cooperation that has been given a new impetus recently by the joint efforts and stressed the contribution of the reciprocal high-ranking visits to the further strengthening and development of bilateral relations.

Expressing gratitude for the reception, Senator Durbin, in his part, stressed that he has focused on the issues related to Armenia for many years and is grateful to visit Yerevan and to get acquainted with Armenia’s approaches on regional issues from the authorities of the country.

Edward Nalbandian presented the U.S. Senator the recent developments in the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue. 

Edward Nalbandian expressed gratitude to the guest for his consistent efforts undertaken towards the international recognition of the Armenian Genocide.

The sides had a thorough talk on the issues in the South Caucasus and adjacent regions, as well as the ways of their solutions.
