On June 12 the Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs received Patricio Alberto Chávez Závala, the newly appointed Ambassador of Ecuador to Armenia (residence in Moscow) on the occasion of presenting the copies of his credentials.

Congratulating the guest on the occasion of assuming the office of first Ecuadorian Ambassador to Armenia, Minister Nalbandian expressed hope that through his activities the Ambassador would bring great contribution to the strengthening of friendly relations between the two countries and the development of mutual cooperation in various spheres.

Expressing gratitude for the wishes, Ambassador Závala mentioned that it is a great honor for him to be the Ecuadorian first Ambassador in Armenia which at the same time is an obligation for him. Ambassador Závala assured that he would take steps towards the development of bilateral relations.

The interlocutors discussed issues related to the creation of legal framework, cooperation within the international organizations and promotion of cultural relations.
