The newly Ambassador of Iran presented the copies of his credentials to the Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs

Congratulating the Ambassador on the appointment, Minister Nalbandian mentioned that Armenia and Iran being neighbors are connected with their past, present and future, which serves as a strong basis for the development of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries.

The Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs wished success to the Ambassador in carrying out his mission and expressed hope that the Ambassador would give a new impetus to the further expansion of bilateral relations and deepening of cooperation.

Expressing gratitude for the wishes, Ambassador Rayeesi underlined that Iran’s authorities attach great importance to the strengthening of interaction with friendly Armenia and assured that he would do his utmost to contribute to the development of the Armenian-Iranian cooperation during his mission.

During the meeting the sides discussed the agenda issues of bilateral relations-issues related to political, economic and cultural cooperation and implementation of joint projects, as well as upcoming projects.

The works of the Armenian-Iranian Inter-governmental commission were touched upon, as well. In this regard, the important role of the Commission was stressed in developing of economic cooperation, drafting and implementing of joint projects.
