The Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs visited Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh)

On June 29 the President of the Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) Bako Sahakyan received Edward Nalbandian, Foreign Minister of Armenia, who has arrived in Stepanakert.

Edward Nalbandian informed Bako Sahakyan about the meeting with the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister and OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs held in Paris.

President Sahakyan and Minister Nalbandian had a thorough talk on the negotiations conducted towards the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue.

In light of the provocations recently organized by Azerbaijan on the border with Armenia and on the line of contact with Nagorno-Karabakh, the interlocutors discussed the efforts taken by the Co-Chairs towards the creation of a mechanism to investigate incidents.

A day before, Edward Nalbandian was hosted in the NKR (Artsakh) Parliament and had a meeting with Ashot Ghulyan, the Speaker of the NKR National Assembly. In the course of the talk, the international activities of Artsakh Parliament and the results of recent visit of the speaker of the NKR National Assembly to London were touched upon.

During the meeting the sides exchanged views on the preparatory works of the upcoming NKR presidential elections to be held on June 19, as well as the participation of international observers.

On the same day, Edward Nalbandian visited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the NKR, as well, where he had a meeting with the acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Vasili Atajanyan and the staff of the Ministry. During the meeting the sides exchanged views on the negotiations over the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue, and regional and international agenda issues, as well as training of diplomats.
