On July 2 Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian received the newly appointed Ambassador of Albania to Armenia Dashnor Dervish (residence in Athens) on the occasion of presenting his credentials.

Congratulating the guest on the occasion of the commencement of his appointment, Minister Nalbandian wished successes in the fulfillment of his responsible mission.

The Minister expressed hope that by joint efforts the existing potential would be used more productively for increasing and development of the relations and that Ambassador Dervish would have his contribution to the creation of new ways for intensive interaction in political, economic, cultural and educational spheres, as well as for its further development and expansion.

Expressing gratitude for the wishes, Ambassador Dervish mentioned that Albania attaches great importance to the strengthening of the relation with Armenia. Dashnor Dervish assured that during his mission he would exert all possible efforts to develop and deepen bilateral ties.

The interlocutors discussed a number of issues related to the creation of legal framework, boosting of trade and economic and humanitarian cooperation, as well as issues of mutual interest.
