Foreign Minister received the Ambassadors accredited in the OSCE

On September 7, Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian received the Ambassadors from around two dozen member-countries accredited to the OSCE who are in Yerevan on a regional visit.

Welcoming the guests, Foreign Minister mentioned that this year celebrates the 20th anniversary of Armenia’s membership to the OSCE and during those years Armenia has intensively participated in all three dimensions which are the bases of the Organization’s activities. Armenia contributed to the raising of the Organization’s effectiveness and reputation, as well.

Minister Nalbandian also added that the OSCE office in Yerevan, functioning for more than ten years, has its great contribution to the reforms implemented in the spheres of public administration in Armenia, the development of civic society and the solution of environmental issues.

Upon the request of the Ambassadors, Minister Nalbandian presented the main directions of Armenia’s foreign policy, Armenia’s relations with neighboring countries, Armenia’s position on global agenda issues and approaches on the solution of regional conflicts.

The discussions with the Ambassadors accredited in the OSCE would continue tomorrow, too.
