Minister Nalbandian received Philippe Lefort, the European Union Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia

On September 11 Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian received Philippe Lefort, the European Union Special Representative (EUSR) for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia.

In the course of the meeting the sides discussed the issues related to the cooperation between Armenia and the EU. In particular, the interlocutors touched upon the projects being implemented in the frames of the Eastern Partnership. Philippe Lefort informed that the EU would continue to provide its support to Armenia, including to the projects implemented in the frames of the Eastern Partnership.

Mutual satisfaction was expressed with the dynamic development of the relations.

The interlocutors touched upon the situation created as a result of the release of the Azeri murderer Ramil Safarov, which seriously harmed current negotiations and regional security and stability.
