On March 6, Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian met with the President of German Bundestag Norbert Lammert.

The sides expressed satisfaction with the high level of Armenian-German relations, political dialogue, economic cooperation and cultural exchanges. Both sides stressed the importance of parliamentary active cooperation as an important format for the extension of bilateral relations.

At the meeting views were exchanged related to Armenia-European Union relations, programs and negotiations held within the framework of Eastern Partnership.

In response to the request of the President of Bundestag, Minister Nalbandian presented in detail the efforts made by Armenia and the international community towards the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

Norbert Lammert commended the service of Armenian peacekeepers in Afghanistan as part of the German contingent of Security Assistance Force.
