Edward Nalbandian started his visit to Germany

By a meeting with the political parties' representatives of Bundestag on March 13 the Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs started his visit to Germany.

Minister Nalbandian expressed satisfaction with the political dialogue at the highest level established between Armenia and Germany, particularly stressing the close cooperation between the Parliaments of the two countries-reciprocal visits of heads of legislative bodies, activities of inter-parliamentary friendship groups and interaction in the parliamentary assemblies of international organizations.

The sides had a thorough talk on regional issues and about the ways of their solutions. Edward Nalbandian presented in detail the efforts undertaken by Armenia and the international community towards the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue.

Afterwards, Edward Nalbandian had a meeting with Chancellor Angela Merkel’s Chief Advisor on Foreign and Security Policy Christoph Heusgen. The sides discussed in detail the ways to further strengthen the Armenian-German relations and a wide range of regional and global issues.

Later on the same day the Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs was hosted at the German Council on Foreign Relations where he delivered an extensive speech on Armenia’s foreign policy, as well as answered numerous questions of the attendees, MFA high-ranking officials, diplomats, political scientists and journalists.
