THE NEWLY APPOINTED AMBASSADOR OF AUSTRALIA PRESENTED THE COPIES OF HIS CREDENTIALS TO THE ARMENIAN MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS

On April 29, Edward Nalbandian received the Australian Ambassador Paul Myler (residence in Moscow) on the occasion of presenting the copies of his credentials.

Congratulating the Ambassador, Minister expressed hope that he will add further impulse in the development of relations between the two countries.

Expressing gratitude for the reception, Ambassador Myler noted that Australia attaches great importance to the strengthening of relations with Armenia and assured that he will make all efforts to deepen the Armenian-Australian friendship still further. Ambassador Myler highlighted the importance of the visit of of Armenia’s Foreign Minister to Australia last year and the agreements reached during the implementation of which will allow us to expand bilateral cooperation.

The sides discussed the cooperation between the two countries in international organizations, as well as issues concerning cooperation in economic areas.

Minister Nalbandian presented the efforts undertaken by Armenia and international community towards the Nagorno-Karabakh peaceful settlement. In that framework Foreign Minister of Armenia greatly appreciated the balanced position of Australia concerning the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
