On May 17 in Kraków OSCE Minsk-Group Co-chairs Igor Popov, Jacques Faure, Ian Kelly met Edward Nalbandian and Elmar Mammadyarov, the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan. Andrzej Kasprzyk, the personal representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office also took part in the meeting.

The Co-Chairs and Foreign Ministers discussed the possible ways to push forward the peaceful process.

Foreign Ministers exchanged views on the present situation and reaffirmed their commitment to promote peace in the region.

The Co-Chairs reaffirmed the need to refrain from such actions and rhetoric which can increase the tension and harm the peace process, as well as discussed with the Ministers a number of confidence building measures aimed at supporting the creation of an atmosphere of reconciliation.

The Co-Chairs will visit the region at the end of the month to discuss these issues with the Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan.
